How Do I Fix My Xbox 360 Wired Controller?

Well, one day i decided to play my xbox 360. So i go up and turn on the system (Wired Controller is plugged in) and i notice that all the lights are turned on the controller…..so i waited about 5 minutes and it stayed like that. I tried reconnecting *Everything 100 times* and the controller is still frozen. Is there anyway to fix this?

    new batteries might work, or maybe if you plugged it in with the wire for a bit. if not i dont know im sorry ):
