How can I fix my Xbox Live lag?

I first had a windows ISP connection, which was slow and commmonly disconnected. Then I switched to direct modem connection and it was still slow and has lag and disconnects. Any suggestions on how to fix it that aren’t so obvious? I tried all the ones on the Xbox support pages.

    Yes upgrade your bandwith(connection speed) thats why you experience lag. Also ask your provider about your latency it may be high.

    Get a better internet provider with the highest sending rate possible.

    Get cable Internet, it has much higher speed and greater bandwith. Also, try not to use wi-fi. Make sure your firewall allows the xbox to fully connect to the Internet.
