galla024 asked:

The story: I dropped my 360 on the ground and it will no longer read any discs. I already called xbox support and told them the story. they said they could not fix it because it is considered tampered with since there is a ***** in the casing from the impact. They said I will just have to buy a new one. Is that the only option??

depending on how brave you are, you can replace this yourself. its very simple to do and only cost you about $30 if you know where to look.
the laser in the drive more than likely needs to be replaced.

Oh no….. i hope ur old drive is OK and u have it….. coz if not ur 360 is a 399$ piece of wood……

each dvd drive have a key/bios that is registered to the board of the 360….. u can copy it using a software….. u ahve to connect utr dvd drive to the pc using the SATA ports….. copy the bios
and save it then patch it to the new one ^^
