How do I fix my xbox so i can add friends without having to put in a password?

I want to fix my xbox 360 so when i add friends i dont have to put in a password… i know what the password is but every time i put in the password it says cant sign in using your windows live ID if the problem persists go to www.passport.com so i went to that website and it didnt help me at all… i have no idea what to do and i want to add friends on xbox live does anyone know what to do?

you need to go to settings on the dashboard and turn off parent controls. cause you might have it so they think a kid is playing
